House Of Flavours

Tucked away on Kings Road in Reading, House Of Flavours is one of those rare Indian restaurants that lives up to its name from the very first bite. This spot doesn't just serve food - it delivers an entire sensory journey, wrapping bold North Indian flavours in a stylish, welcoming atmosphere that’s both relaxed and vibrant. Whether you're popping in solo for a quick plate of Butter Chicken or gathering your crew for a full feast, there's a rhythm and richness to the dining experience that keeps people coming back.

One of the first things that strikes you here is the sheer variety on the menu-and not in a generic, overstuffed way. Everything feels curated. From street-style bites like Pani Puri and Aloo Tikki Chaat to the richness of Dum Ki Lamb Biryani or the comforting indulgence of Butter Chicken Naan Jalfrezi, the range manages to hit both traditional notes and modern cravings. If you're a fan of small plates, don’t skip the Gourmet Sharer Platter-a generous assortment that includes popular starters like Lamb Seekh Kebab, Spring Rolls, and Paneer Tikka Masala. It’s perfect for sampling the kitchen’s talent in one go.

What sets House Of Flavours apart from many other Indian spots is the way presentation meets performance. The dishes don’t just look good on the plate-they pack serious flavour. The Bhuna Gosht, for example, arrives with a slow-cooked depth and spice that’s bold without being overwhelming. Then there's the Bhatti Murgh Makhanwala-chargrilled chicken simmered in a creamy sauce that delivers a smoky punch with each mouthful. Even the vegetarian options here get the star treatment. Try the Chilli Paneer if you’re after something zesty and bold, or go for the Pav Bhaji if you’re craving something nostalgic yet comforting.

For those with a sweet tooth, the desserts don’t disappoint. Whether it’s the syrupy crunch of Jalebi, the melt-in-your-mouth Gajar Ka Halwa, or the simple elegance of a warm Gulab Jamun, each sweet feels like a finale worthy of an encore. Want something to sip alongside your meal? From Mango Lassi to classic Corona, cocktails, and a well-stocked wine list, the drinks menu complements the food without overshadowing it.

What’s refreshing is that despite its gourmet flair, House Of Flavours doesn’t forget the basics of a good dining experience. The staff are attentive without being intrusive, and the whole place is designed to be inclusive. There's wheelchair-accessible seating, entrance, and toilet, making it a genuinely welcoming space for all. Whether you're dining in for a quiet evening or placing a no-contact delivery order for a weekend treat at home, the service is consistently efficient and friendly.

Another standout detail is the restaurant’s commitment to dietary variety. With options ranging from halal meats, vegan-friendly dishes, to vegetarian staples, they cater thoughtfully to different needs. If you’re out late and craving something spicy, you're covered too-House Of Flavours serves late-night food that still delivers on quality, not just convenience.

It's also worth noting that it’s a popular choice for both lunch crowds and dinner gatherings. Whether you're working nearby or exploring Reading for the day, the location is central and easy to access. And if you're in the mood for something light, they offer small plates and healthy options alongside the more indulgent mains. Even the free water refills are a thoughtful touch that says: they’ve considered the full experience.

All in all, House Of Flavours is far more than your average Indian restaurant. It blends traditional recipes with modern flair, all wrapped in a setting that feels polished yet completely approachable. From the first nibble of a starter to the last spoon of dessert, this place delivers exactly what its name promises-flavour in every sense of the word.

One of the very good Indian food I have tried - The shish kebab, the pilau rice and the chicken lababdar were all bursting with flavours and were too good! Rest of my colleagues loved what they ordered. I loved the spiciness, though it said mild.

"We're so glad we stumbled upon House of Flavours in Reading! As someone who craves authentic North Indian food, this place is a gem. We're from Watford, but the food here is so delicious that we don't mind making the trip to Reading - it's worth every single time! The Bhatti Murg Makhan Walla and lamb dish we ordered were excellent. The flavors were rich and authentic, just like we'd get back home. It's clear that the chefs here know their stuff. But what really made our experience stand out was the hospitality. Mr. Chander and Chef Kulmeet were outstanding, as always. They made us feel welcome and took care of our every need. We've been here a few times now, and the service is always top-notch. If you're looking for authentic North Indian food in the Reading area, look no further than House of Flavours. We can't recommend it enough!"

Our previous valentines booking fell through and was struggling to find a place to eat. We were offered a table with no struggle which was great. The service was fantastic from Jagvir and treated us so well. The food and drinks was delicious and we enjoyed every part of the night. Thank you!

We had an office lunch planned at the house of flavours and everyone was amazed with the taste of the food. We really enjoyed their curries and naan, with some fancy veg and chicken starters. I do recommend this for a great Indian cuisine.
